I am trying to activate Oziexplorer on 700hd but cannot enter the code as touching the text field that comes up does not bring up the screen keyboard.

What am I doing wrong??

    Hi Chrissie,

    How are you doing?

You will have to press the KB button on the top right hand side corner of the window and it will bring the keyboard up when you start up OziExplorer program.

    Hope this helps!

OK, thanks for that, but we now have another problem after loading the latest version of Ozi CE.

    Procedure used was as follows.

    1. Check file structure match between unzipped new version against file structure under folder “OZI” on sd card.

    2. Delete contents of folder ”OZI” and replace with new version.

Now if Oziexplorer is selected as the off road navigation software to use it cannot be started. In fact the off road navigation selection is grayed out.

Re-selecting VMS as the off road navigation source works fine.

Was there an initialisation or configuration file amongst the deleted “OZI” folder contents, peculiar to VMS???

The procedure used was as recommended by Oziexplorer.

    Would really appreciate your help.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Normally we do not support Ozi Explorer as it was loaded for experienced users and not having the unit right in front of us is also a challenge to answer your question.

I am happy to give it a go, my guess is that you will have to save the ozi explorer executable file as ozi.exe to make it work instead of oziexplorer.exe.

Please give it a try and see how you go with it!

    cheers

All good. You were right about the file name. I trolled through the folders on the VMS and found the config file that pointed to ozi.exe and changed it to oziexplorerce.exe(the correct name for the executable) so that future upgrades will work. Keyboard also working fine now.

    Cheers
