VMS gps in a Toyota Land druiser

My unit is not working other than the cd system when I put a cd in it will play. I can not start any other function
The touch function is not working What can I do to get the unit to respond. The unit is 3 years old. I have pressed the reset button

    Hi Ron

    That's a bit odd to say the least. Do any of the physical buttons down the side of the unit work at all? any feedback form them?
    Do you know what model of unit you have? if not could you take a photo and email it to me please?

    Thank you attached is a photo of my unit in on situation. Please note the small icon the shape of a TV with a square in the centre I am not sure if that was there when the unit was working. If I press the bottom right button down the right side to it will bring up all the function icons but if you touch those icons nothing happens ie the touch function is not working. Hope you can help.     Hi Ron

    That's the AVNC3000 unit. wow! haven't seen one of those in a while!

    The symbol on the screen is the stop button from memory, the one that you'd get on the screen when you stop a DVD or the like (from memory it's been a while).

    There are a couple of things I can try, however I'd need to get the unit back here I'm afraid and I can power it up in the bench and try a couple of firmware's and try a few other things.

    Long story short: sorry, but I think I'll have to get the unit back here.

    Do you recall when you purchased the unit at all?

    What you will need to do is go to our home page www.vms4x4.com and under the support tab, you will need to log a warranty request. Once the request has been lodged, within 1-2 days you will received an r/a number and approval to send your unit back for assessment.
