i am currently traveling cape york, using the 700hds.
i have had track logging on and the tracking line is about 10 mm offset to the east from the track on the map.
it follows the shape of the road exactly but offset.
this is rather annoying.

can you offer any assistance

thanks neil

    Hi Neil

Sounds like the map itself might be geo-referenced slightly incorrectly. Is there another map that you can change to that shows this track that you can see?

The other possibility is that the accuracy of the GPS isn't exact, it will vary depending on cloud cover, tree canopy, position of sats given that time of day/their orbit, sun activity, etc etc. so the GPS might be reading a few meters out, hence it's tracking you on the road exactly, however it thinks your a bit to the east.

    Kind regards
