Playing mps3 - plays everytime I start up engine even though I had stopped player before shutdown
Hi,
I have the generic VMS 7000 unit.
I have MP3's on a USB stick which I play through the VMS USB lead.
If I stop the player or pause it and then stop the engine, when I startup again the player also starts which I dont always want - I want it to remember not just where its stopped (which it does) but also the fact it was stopped or paused.
Is there any way of getting the play to remember its state upon power down and subsequent power up?
Thanks

HI Michael
Thanks for the info, that version number is the thing that I'm after!
Bare with me on this one as I've got a couple of things I can try, however before I send anything out to you I want to check them here on a demo unit.
Kind regards

Hi Mike
After much experimentation and me playing with different firmwares and versions of, and doing some interesting mix and match with the firmwares, changing boards, trying different formats and eventually having a chat with the guy that do the firmware and operating system for the unit, and getting a lovely long explanation on how windows CE loads it's USB drivers (most of which I didn't get to be honest). Long story short: can't change it I'm afraid. I do agree that it is somewhat annoying, however apparently it can't be changed and I'm yet to find a way around that. I'm really sorry that this is the case. I have really tried with this one, many units and boards and softwares and combinations there of.
Again sorry I can't help this time.
Kind regards

Hi Tech12,
It does have a reasonable nusance factor so would strongly suggest that
your future relases look at this as I have to keep the on the video display
or radio if I leave a USB stick installed.
However I understand that you can only do what is technically feasible with
the current platform and appreciate the extensive efforts in seeing if
there is a possible resolution.
Thanks again.
Mike.
