When I turn on my UHF my GPS looses satellite connection. As soon as I turn the UHF off the connection comes back. I have tried resetting the GPS but the issue persists. It is a 700HDX portable

    Hello,

Time to buy a new UHF radio, or check the power feed to the radio (same circuit as 700HDX unit?)

After selling many thousands of the 700HDX unit, this is the first report we have had of a UHF radio affecting the GPS reception of the 700HDX navigator.

    Hello,

The power may have been a factor.
Could you confirm how many satellites your unit does receive in the open air.

Take the unit outdoors and from the main menu tap Settings - System info - GPS reset.

A counter next to TTFF will commence and stop when the unit has a GPS lock and the boxes will fill with numbers and turn green.
If NO boxes or only 1 or 2 show numbers after a few minutes then the GPS antenna may need to be looked at.

    Regards,
    VMS support.
