I have a 700HDX and I notice that you can select different options for vehicles (ie: car, pedestrian and other). I want to know if I select other and then truck, does this give me actual truck routes when I choose a route or does it just use the maximum speed to decide which route would be fastest?

I know navman and garmin now have truck routes uploaded into a couple of their gps units, and was hoping this was the same or do I need to go buy yet another unit for the truck?

    Hello,

Choosing the truck icon does not alter the route planning method of the navigation.

The heavy vehicle mapping logarithms is only available on specialized mapping, such as in the brands you have described.

Thanks for the reply. So if it has no benefits, can I ask why it's there?

    Hello,

On some versions of the Igo Primo navigation software, you can configure the vehicle size, number of axles etc when you select the truck profile.
This feature and the truck optimized routing is not implemented in the 700HDX mapping.
