VMS700

We recently bought 2 x VMS700 for our RFS fire trucks. Firstly, both the power lead connection became loose and kept turning off. Now, one of the units will not go into off road mode, it just comes up with a blank menu screen. Spent all day yesterday at a fire without mapping, and now have to buy paper maps for redundancy ( heaps of them).

    Hello Daryl,

Can you please confirm the units model numbers, (should be 700HDX?)

Showing a blank menu screen.... SOMEONE has changed the default off-road program from OZIEXPLORER to the not enabled VMS off-road.

From the blank menu screen tap the down arrow then at around the 9.00 position, is done correctly this should bring up the exit menu. Once you have exited successfully you should be presented with the menu STREEt / OFF ROAD, tap on the "GPS options screen and bullet under OZIEXPLORER, tap the return arrow and the unit should now run your correct program.

You will need to inform the operators not to tap on the GPS OPTIONS icon.

Has the power lead issue been resolved?

    Regards,
    VMS support.

Hello, thanks for the reply. 700HDX and the change worked. The problem
with fire trucks is the number of people fiddling with the gadgets.
Now I will glue the power lead in and all is sweet. Thanks for your
    help
