<p>Obviously the trailer camera is not sending an image to the unit
/ switchbox.</p>
<p>The only way to test is by substitution and by testing all the
power / video connections to the trailer camera. With the trailer
connected you swap the 2 camera inputs around that lead into the
switchbox, you will need a RCA gender adaptors however, as the
trailer camera has a male plug and the car camera a female plug.
You need to plug the female car camera plug into the red female
camera 2 socket (see attached picture) to test the switch box
circuit and then to plug the male trailer camera into the male car
camera socket to see if the camera works in this position.</p>

Thanks for your quick response to my request for assistance. I
followed your advice and found a broken 12 volt wire in the lead
from caravan. All is now working ok.<br>
