Repair or replace VMS7000 in Landcruiser 100 2003

My VMS7000 seems to have reached the end of its life. Issues with calibration, powering on/off, freezing on screens and ... by not turning off ... ruining my battery. :(
Is repair an option ? Costly? Do I have to take it out and send to factory for checkup? or is a new X523 a better deal?
I browsed and cam across series 1 being on sale during Dec last year. Is there now a series 2? What is the difference?
Where can I get it installed? I live on the gold coast, QLD.
I know of TJM Nerang but has VMS other distributors in the area?
Appreciate anyones feedback.
Cheers

    Hello Stefan,

    Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately we do not have any new parts to repair this issue.

The series 1 X523 has now sold out so we are now currently selling series 2 units @$995.00. We can offer you a $200.00 trade in for your old 7000 unit off the price of the new X523 bringing the price down to $795.00.

The dealer in Nerang is the closest one in a 50 Km radius.

    Regards, VMS support.

    Hello Stefan,

    The standard package is:

    • Street navigation - WhereIs maps with 5 years of free map upgrades (4 quarters x 5 = 25 updates)

    • Off Road navigation - 4000+ maps, many Topographical 1:25 & 1:50K resolution.

    • Universal reversing camera included in price.

    • GPS receiver antenna.

    • Bluetooth microphone.

    • USB extension lead - for glove box installation.

    • Micro USB to USB lead - for use in front USB port.

    • Remote control - for backseat passengers.

Installation cost for unit is about 1 hour to allow for running microphone and GPS antenna etc. For reversing camera add another 2 hours approximately as the camera has to mounted on rear of vehicle as well as having to remove side panels kick plates etc to run camera cable. Most workshops charge around $90.00 per hour.

    Regards, VMS support.
