<p>We do have refurbished batteries but we normally get the unit so after installing the battery we also put it through our test and make sure its working perfectly and doesn't have any other issue.</p>

<p>Normally in this case, motherboard goes bad and if that's the scenario then backlight wont come on.</p>
<p>If initially you saw 700HDX screen come up, it could just be loose ribbon cable in the unit.</p>
<p>Try tapping at the back of the unit when backlight comes on and see if screen shows up.</p>

<p>In early April 2019, the US government updated the time signals on the GPS satellites (has to be done every 9 years). Some GPS units resynchronized themselves with no issues others were out in time by random amounts.</p>
<p>You have two options - 1. you can change the time manually, and will have to do so again when daylight savings starts (if applicable in your area), or 2. Install the firmware update (onto a blank SD card). - <strong>The 100% fix</strong></p>
<p>To change the time manually, from the Street Navigation software tap Menu - Spanner icon - scroll down to Regional - ensure that Time Zone is set to Manual and untick Daylight savings, and change the GMT offset to suit your location: Plus 8.00 Perth. Plus 9.30 SA. Plus 10.00 East coast. You will have to add an hour when daylight savings commences.</p>
<p>One further setting you need to check is the date and time settings in the system menu.</p>
<p>From the screen - Street / Offroad - tap Settings then Date and time. Tap on the icons on each line to enter the adjustment screen, ensure that all is correct for your time zone - Time - Date and GMT.</p>

<p>This screen is showing that your unit hasn't loaded fully, it may only require its operating firmware to be "reflashed" to restore normal operation.</p>
<p>If you have access to a microSD card of no more than 4GB and a Windows PC we can email the necessary files to you. (the files and procedure are listed below, if you are unable to perform the procedure or unable to obtain a blank microSD card please advise back here).</p>
<p>Provided below is the link to the dropbox download for the reflash files.<br>
The microSD card size can be no larger in capacity than 4 GB, otherwise you cannot format the card to Windows FAT format.</p>
<p>The file is a self extracting archive, double click on it and provide a temporary folder on your PC for the files to extract to. Once extracted <strong>copy the UPD file to your blank card firstly</strong> followed by the other files.</p>
<p>Very important - <strong>Format your blank card to FAT format</strong>, when you right click on the card's drive letter and select "format" select from the pull down box "FAT", without this format the reflash will not fully load,<br>
Make sure you insert the reflash card into the unit with its power off and then plug in the charge lead and the reflash process will automatically commence. When the unit loads the main menu the reflash is successful.</p>
